Bittrex is one of the first Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchanges to open. They launched their website in January 2014, and are currently one of the largest Bitcoin exchanges online. The trading platform at Bittrex allows users to deposit BTC or any of their supported currencies and start trading instantly. You can also use them as an online wallet, and they feature a number of security features including 2FA.

Bittrex is a US based company out of Seattle, WA. The company was founded by 4 members who all have impressive backgrounds in the field of technology and security. The service enables users to trade cryptocurrencies securely via REST APIs. The Bittrex platform also utilizes elastic computing which means that most of the funds they hold are kept offline to protect against any potential attacks.

Countries & Currencies Available
Currently, Bittrex does not offer any fiat currency to cryptocurrecy exchange services. That means they do not allow users to deposit or withdraw in USD, EUR, GBP and other government backed currencies. They do allow users from all countries around the world to sign up and use their exchange. Their biggest user bases are located in the United States, but they do prohibit users from signing up if they are located in the states and territories of AK, AR, CA, CT, FL, HI, ID, IA, KS, KT, LA, MD, MI, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NV, OH, OK, PA, SD, TX, VT, VA, WA, WY and PR.
Bittrex, being a US based company also does not allow users to sign up or use their services if they are located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country to which the USA has embargoed goods or services, countries that are listed as a “Specially Designated National” by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, countries that are on the U.S. Commerce Department’s Denied Persons List or if the services are prohibited by your local, state or federal government.
Signing up for An Account
Getting started at Bittrex is very easy and only requires an email address and password. To sign up for an account, just click “login” on the top navigation and then “Sign up” or head directly to their sign up page. Once you have created an account, just confirm via your email address and you’re ready to start trading.
When you want to start trading, just head over to the “Wallets” page on your account and click the “+” button to add the cryptocurrency of your choice. Once your transaction has been fully confirmed on the Blockchain, your funds are now eligible to be traded on the exchange. Select any of their supported markets in the Bitcoin Markets tab and start trading cryptocurrencies.
Bittrex does not have any trading limits, but they do limit the amount of Bitcoin you can send and receive on a daily basis. For all Basic accounts, the limit is 3 BTC per day. Enhanced accounts are the highest level and require full KYC verification and 2FA security. If you have an Enhanced account, you can withdraw up to 100 BTC per day. Keep in mind that if you change your password, you will not be able to withdraw any BTC for 24 hours.
Bittrex offers a number of security features, including 2FA with Google Authenticator and/or mobile 2FA authentication. Overall Bittrex is a very secure trading platform in generally and was actually founded by security professionals, so it would only make sense that their service utilizes the latest security technology.
User Experience & Interface
The platform and website at Bittrex.com has a very simple design and interface, making user experience bar none. Even if you are new to cryptocurrencies, it is very easy to navigate and use the exchange. The navigation includes very straightforward options, including Bitcoin Markets, $ Markets, Wallets, Orders and Settings.
